Lucy Towbin has a master’s degree in social work and passed the boards to become an IBCLC in 1995.
She has worked for Arkansas Department of Health for over 25 years in a variety of capacities and is currently the Regional Lactation Consultant for the seven central counties of the state.
Lucy has breastfed three children who are now teens and adults.

Shakia JacksonSHAKIA JACKSON, vice President

Shakia Jackson serves as the Arkansas Breastfeeding Coalition Health Disparities Committee Chair.
She is a Health Program Specialist for the Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities.
She has a BA in Criminal Justice from UALR, a Masters in Teaching and Education from Webster University and is a certified Patient Navigator and Lactation Counselor.
She is the program coordinator for SISTERS UNITED and BROTHERS UNITED and works closely with Family Health on the Safe Sleep and Breastfeeding COIIN.
Shakia is also the Program Manager for Mocha Live, an online breastfeeding support group for minority women.

Suzie Branton, Secretary

Suzie Branton is an BSN-RN, IBCLC, OB and mental health nurse. She is  the mother of three raucous boys and lives by the skin of her teeth in Little Rock,  Arkansas

Kenya EddingsKENYA L. EDDINGS, Treasurer

Kenya L. Eddings received her undergraduate degree from Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama and her graduate degree from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana.
She has served as the Workplace Wellness Manager for the Arkansas Department of Health since April 2016. Previously, she worked as a Research Scientist with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Her research interests included behavioral weight loss and maintenance in African American women, access to healthy food and food deserts.
She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Junior League of Little Rock, Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XXIII, Delta Omega Public Health Honor Society, Food Bank Nutrition Committee and serves on the boards of the
Just Communities of Arkansas, Arkansas Arts Center and the Beverly Divers-White Foundation.
